Hosting Organization(s)Competition Sports Car Club
Event TypeRallyCross
Event Date(s)20-Apr-2019 to 21-Apr-2019
Event Description/
Schedule

Saturday will be a rallycross practice day like the last event.  $10/run. Use these runs to try setup changes or take friends for a lap to show them what rallycross is.  Likely, the course will be available from 9:00 am through 4:00 pm.  We can even make a wet course for practice for when you can have the opportunity to practice in the wet without the pressure of competition runs.

Some might be asking who's Burney.  He was a great friend who enjoyed competition whether it was motocross or sailboats from his younger years.  While I knew him only since 2003, he was someone who enjoyed sharing time talking and giving advice on what it takes to drive to your potential.  Aside from competition, Burney also loved good food.

We will be planning a trip tip dinner with German potato salad(his specialty) we will coordinate if people want bring food or drinks to go with the meal.  Dinner will be planned for Saturday evening after the practice session.

For some insight, the picture on the main page of norcalrallycross comes from the Richard Burns charity event we organized, the same event where Burney shared his love for good food with his rallycross friends.

At the end of his rallycross competition endeavors he moved to Key West to continue his love of fishing.  If you didn't know him, just ask anyone who did and share in the memories of a great friend, car builder and competitor.  The red Suzuki that I bought from Burney was his project that I'm glad to have competed with.

Sunday will be a rallycross, for NCRX points, 6 runs.  $50 person no scca weekend memberships required as this will be a NASA rallysport rallycross.  Price will be $50/person.

What we will be doing is something different, though, we will be closing the 4x4 area to the public and using 2 different courses to compete on like a stage rally.  One course to also be run in both directions for 6 runs total.

Entry cap will be 70, please preregister to guarantee a spot.  As we get closer to the event, if you are prereg'd and won't be able to make it, just let us know.

Saturday access will be normal main gate entrance.
